Description
This Is how I Worked on the Magik Piece:
1.- Initial sketch done on my sketch book with a Ballpoint pen, kept it fairly loose and rough. Normally when I sketch with a ballpoint I tend to be a bit more tighter and not as loose. Took about 6 min.
2.- Scanned the Sketch an imported it to Manga Studio Debut 3.0, Here I did A clean line work of initial sketch. I did this step because I was worried that I wouldn't see the line sketch clearly when I would start applying the ink... I later realized that this step wasn't really needed since my initial sketch was tighter than I had expected. Notice that i scaled the illustration down a bit and shifted her head forward slightly. This step took about 30 min.
3.- The final ink piece with tones. Inking this was fairly quick took me about an hour with adjustments and all but, The tones took longer about 4 hours trying to decide what tones to use and what effects would work better for the piece, I took a few breaks to clear my head a bit. In the end, I think it turned out well.
